The U.S. Department of Energy, on the basis of a test sample of four units of Kenmore brand compact chest freezer model 19702 and a test sample of four units of Kenmore brand compact chest freezer 19502, has determined that these two chest freezers do not comply with the applicable federal energy conservation standards.

If you purchased one of these models, it may use greater energy than indicated on the labels and other materials at the time of your purchase. Therefore, you are eligible for a consumer offer.

Please note this situation does not relate to safety. You may continue to use your freezer safely.
